The Roberts Radio Gemini 4 - Sports portable DAB radio
The Gemini 4 is an easy to use DAB only, battery pocket radio with six adjustable tone settings tone control.
Despite its impressive features, SportsDAB combines high-tech digital circuitry and ease of use. The auto-tune function makes it easy to find all available DAB stations. Select stations by name and list them either alphabetically, by favourite/most listened or by multiplex.
Technical specifications
General:
Stereo personal digital radio with full Band III (174-240MHz) reception capability. Fully compliant with ETS 300 401 and capable of decoding all DAB transmission modes 1-4.
Headphones: In-ear headphones (supplied).
Controls: Info button switches lower line of display between scrolling text, program type, Multiplex name, date, etc. Menu button accesses setup functions such as station list order and autotune. Preset button cycles through presets. Tone button cycles through EQ settings. Joystick button navigates menus including station selection and volume control. Power on/off button and Keypad lock switch to prevent accidental operation.
Tone control
Adjust the sound from your radio by choosing from one of six predefined tone settings: Flat, Deep Bass Boost, Monitor, Studio, Club and Arena.
Input sockets: 4V DC for power AC adaptor.
Output sockets: 3.5 mm stereo for headphones.
LCD display: Amber backlit LCD display with 2 lines of 16 characters, together with icons for volume, battery life, time, favourite station mode, tone settings, signal strength and clock. The backlight is activated by pressing any key -switching off after a short period during battery operation.
Power supply: 3 MN1500 (AA size) alkaline cells (supplied) or 230V AC to 4V DC external power adaptor (supplied).
Battery life: Up to 20 hours.
Aerial: Supplied headphones act as the DAB aerial.
Dimensions: 65mm (w) x 110mm (h) x 20mm (d). Weight: Approx 160g.
